Garmisch-Classic in summer
Not quite as high as the Zugspitze, but no less beautiful: the Garmisch Classic hiking and recreation area. The picturesque mountain landscape between Alpspitze, Kreuzeck and Hausberg attracts both holidaymakers and locals. Here you will find a paradise of numerous hiking options, accompanied by fresh mountain air, plenty of adventure and a breathtaking panorama - for young and old, families and leisurely hikers, less sure-footed mountain lovers and even seniors.
The hiking area at the foot of the imposing Alpspitze offers a varied mix of excitement, fun and relaxation. One ticket is enough to fully enjoy the Garmisch Classic.
The perfect day on the mountain
With the Garmisch-Classic Ticket, visitors can use all three cable cars in the area and experience the full range of numerous activities and hikes. The ideal and most beautiful way to explore the mountain landscape and nature begins with the cable car ride from the Alpspitzbahn to the 2.050 m high Osterfelderkopf. Just a few steps from the mountain station, the exciting AlpspiX viewing platform provides a dose of adventure and adrenaline. Massive steel beams float 1.000 meters above the abyss and offer deep views down and into the distance - butterflies in your stomach are guaranteed. There are numerous hiking trails around the Osterfelderkopf to explore the area. The summit adventure trail is particularly popular - especially for families with strollers - and provides entertainment with lots of informative stations and activities.
Hiking pleasure on the adventure trail to the Hochalm
The interactive pleasure adventure trail leads from the Osterfelderkopf to the Hochalm. Here it is worth taking your eyes off the fantastic panoramic view every now and then and stopping at the exciting hands-on stations. Depending on how leisurely you walk the idyllic route over the alpine terraces, the adventure trail takes around an hour. If you don't want to walk this stage, you can take the Hochalmbahn cable car down a quicker route. From the Hochalm, you can reach the mountain station of the Kreuzeckbahn in around 30 minutes via a wide, comfortable path. The last highlight of the day awaits you here: the descent down into the valley. The view of the nature and landscape around Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the perfect end to an eventful summer day in the Garmisch-Classic hiking area.
