Autumn wellness with a difference

Now all that’s missing is the homemade apple punch, which is a pleasure to enjoy in a cozy atmosphere.
For inspiration, we reveal a secret recipe from Ettal:
Ingredients:
1 litre apple juice
2 cinnamon sticks
4 cloves
2 star anise
1 orange (sliced)
1 lemon (sliced)
100 ml rum or amaretto (optional)
Honey or sugar to taste
Preparation:
• Pour apple juice into a saucepan and heat slowly. Do not let it boil.
• Add the cinnamon sticks, cloves and star anise and let the punch simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes.
• Add orange and lemon slices and let simmer for another 5 minutes.
• Add rum or amaretto as desired and heat again briefly.
• Sweeten with honey or sugar to taste.
• Pour apple punch into heat-resistant glasses/cups and enjoy!
