Room cleaning and Green Option
For years we have been committed to acting sustainably, conserving resources and, for example, using chemical-free technologies in housekeeping. To make the hotel even more sustainable, we offer our guests at the Klosterhotel Ettal the option of forgoing daily room cleaning. With our GreenOption we save water, energy and waste. If our guests stay longer than 3 nights, the room is cleaned automatically. If our guests would like an intermediate cleaning, a brief message at our reception is sufficient. Fresh towels can also be picked up at reception at any time. As an environmentally conscious hotel, we want to ecological footprint reduce and promote sustainable practices.

Regionality
Regionality and sustainability often go hand in hand. Regional products have the advantage that they do not have to be transported far and represent the uniqueness of the region. This is also the case here at the Klosterhotel Ettal. Thanks to the monastic agriculture, the monastery hunting and gardening as well as fish specialties from the surrounding lakes, we can offer many regional products and then process them into culinary delicacies.

Energy supply and e-charging stations
Also in the area of ​​energy supply of the hotel and the Wellness area we pay attention to sustainable sources. 80% of our heating needs are met by a wood chip heating system. The aim here is to expand the heating system even further and cover 100% of the needs in the future. Our photovoltaic system also ensures a green power supply. By the end of the year, our electricity should be powered by renewable energy.
In addition, 12 charging stations and 2 fast-charging stations for electric cars are installed on our hotel premises, so arriving by electric car is no problem.
