Here you can hike through the largest contiguous nature reserve in Germany and experience intact wildlife and protected plant species. We also have a lot to offer culturally: Our Benedictine monastery in Ettal, founded in 1330 by Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian, with its impressive basilica, stately Rococo sacristy and impressive monastery library, is always worth a visit.
