For over 400 years, we’ve provided hospitality initially for day trippers, then holidaymakers and now also conference guests at our Klosterhotel in Bavaria. We can thank our traditional Ettal Abbey for such a long-standing history. From very early on, monasteries have been running hostels and hospices with guests. This includes the Ettal Abbey, which was built as a tavern in the 15th century and has now become the 4**** Klosterhotel Ettal Ludwig der Bayer. Hospitality is something we’re born with, you might say. After all, hospitality is important to St. Benedict, upon whose rules the monks in Ettal live their lives. Quite aside from the fact that we welcome guests in a special Bavarian destination: the Ammergau Alps nature park. The impressive mountains that surround us, the soft, green pastures and fields, and our mountain rivers and lakes emanate a special sense of power that you’ll notice right away.
